The green fruit stand under its tin roof, coconuts on the rail, the island behind.

Puerto Rico

We drove out past the fruit stands and stayed until dark. The island set the pace and the collection kept up. One camera, one long day.

First light, roadside

Into the trees

The surf

Down the beach

The field

Dunes at golden hour

The sun goes

The sun caught in the crook of her raised arm.
Her silhouette against the burning sky.

Dusk, the one-piece

After dark

She walks the waterline under a low white sun.
The sun went down and we let it.
